10 Cloverfield Lane is sequel/spin-off to the movie Cloverfield. In first Cloverfield, the characters are uninteresting and the story is clichéd. The only thing that really kept me going was the monster (that we don’t see much of). But 10 Cloverfield Lane fixes most of these mistakes! It’s about a woman named Michelle who wakes up in a bunker and the man that took her there tells her the world has been attacked. She begins to question if she is safer outside or with him. It is very exciting, intense, and shocking. You will be very surprised where it goes and on the edge of your seat. The characters are very interesting, some even relatable and you will find yourself rooting for the characters (the good ones of course). The actors are great and the CGI isn’t special or new, but it looks fine for what it is. If you’re hoping to see a monster movie like the first Cloverfield, you may be disappointed, but any casual moviegoer or fan of Cloverfield will enjoy it. 10 Cloverfield Lane was much better than expected and I would most certainly recommend it.
